February 16, 2006, Madison, WI – The International Building Owners and Manager’s Association recently named City Center West, a T. Wall Properties development, “Office Building of the Year” for the Midwest Northern Region in the Suburban Mid-Rise category. The Midwest Northern Region includes Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri, making City Center West the best Suburb Mid-Rise building in these nine states. “This is a great honor to have City Center West recognized regionally through BOMA’s award. We strive to develop all of our buildings around the philosophy of creating places where people interact and City Center West is our perfect model of this philosophy,” said Terrence R. Wall, President of T. Wall Properties. Winning the regional award qualifies City Center West for the International competition in June 2006 in Dallas, Texas. This award makes City Center West the first Wisconsin building to reach the International level of the BOMA competition. “It’s very exciting to have one of our buildings from Wisconsin make it to this level of the competition,” said John Periard, Executive Director of BOMA-Wisconsin.
City Center West was awarded this honor not only based on the aesthetics and style of the building architecture and development, but also based on building management issues such as community impact, tenant relations, energy management, environmental awareness, and emergency preparedness. The development proved superior in all of these categories, including the working environment and amenities available at City Center West. The 8-story office building houses a 120-person conference center, 20-person boardroom, library, coffee shop, fitness center, lobbies with state of the art fixtures, TVs broadcasting sports, news, weather, and traffic, and a grand pedestrian plaza with sculptures and a fountain. City Center West is located at 525 Junction Road, fronting the West Beltline Highway.
